Division 4 Winner
David Kotler is a student of Natalia Harlap, and is currently a junior at the Maimonides school in Brookline. David is pursuing different interests – he is an avid wrestler, and a three – time captain of the Maimonides varsity team. David also loves to paint, one of his paintings was selected for publication in the Marble Collection Magazine – The Massachusetts High School Magazine For the Arts. He is also the assistant editor – in chief of the Maimonides Literary Magazine. But music is his greatest passion. David channels that passion into his duties as co – president of the Music is Medicine chapter of the Maimonides School, and organization that brings music to children critically ill with cancer. Additionally, he has been a finalist at the A.Ramon Rivera Piano competition, a third prize winner at the NEPTA Ruth Davidson competition, and a first prize winner of Division 4 of the Steinway Society of Massachusetts piano competiton. In 2013, he received a NEPTA’s Wanda Paik Award.
