This year, the Steinway Society of Massachusetts Chose to continue their long-running competition as a virtual event.  Over 90 competitors joined and the winners were selected by a panel of regional judges.  The winners of the Steinway Society Competition are performing this fall during a series of Livestream recitals (see https://msteinert.com/live for more information).  Recently, Steinway New York announced the creation of a new national virtual competition, and is seeking participants via various channels.  Please note that Steinway Society of Massachusetts Competition participants and winners are encouraged to consider this national competition – it is a distinctly different and separate competition.  More on Steinway’s national competition at:  https://www.steinway.com/competition

Lisa Cleveland Dr. Lisa Cleveland is currently the Assistant Director of Education at Indian Hill Music in Littleton, Massachusetts. 2017 PIANO COMPETITION DIVISIONS Steinway Society of Massachusetts’ 2017 Piano Competition will consist of five divisions. All divisions will compete at M. Steinert & Sons’ Piano Selection Facility at 28 Damrell St. in South Boston. All entrants must compete in the division corresponding to their current grade level.
