Division III: Third Place – Meghan Tan Student of Natalia Harlap Meghan Tan is a 17 year old from Westford, Massachusetts. She is a senior at Westford Academy. She studies the piano with Mrs. Natalia Harlap. Meghan has won prizes at competitions for both concertos and solo piano. She was a finalist in the New England Conservatory Preparatory School Concerto Competition and has most recently received awards in the MMTA Bay State, NEPTA, and Steinway Competitions.

This year, the Steinway Society of Massachusetts Chose to continue their long-running competition as a virtual event.  Over 90 competitors joined and the winners were selected by a panel of regional judges.  The winners of the Steinway Society Competition are performing this fall during a series of Livestream recitals (see https://msteinert.com/live for more information).  Recently, Steinway New York announced the creation of a new national virtual competition, and is seeking participants via various channels.  Please note that Steinway Society of Massachusetts Competition participants and winners are encouraged to consider this national competition – it is a distinctly different and separate competition.  More on Steinway’s national competition at:  https://www.steinway.com/competition

Lisa Cleveland Dr. Lisa Cleveland is currently the Assistant Director of Education at Indian Hill Music in Littleton, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the school in 2014, she served as the Chair of the Fine Arts Department at St. Anselm College, held teaching positions at UMass-Lowell and St. Paul’s School, and had maintained a private piano studio for over twenty years.
