The Steinway Society of Massachusetts is devoted to fostering a love for the piano by supporting and nurturing young pianists. For many years, our annual Steinway Society of Massachusetts Piano Competition has been a hallmark event. After thoughtful deliberation, we have decided to transform this year’s event from a competition to an audition. This change reflects our commitment to expanding the reach of The Steinway Society of Massachusetts and engaging a broader audience. The 2024 competition will happen during three in-person rounds on three weekends in April. We are also introducing a new competition alternative called the Artist Evaluation Tier.  Both tiers will have an enrollment cap so that we can ensure a quality experience for all.   This year’s competition will again consist of Three Divisions. Participants in each Division will perform LIVE at M. Steinert and Sons Newton Location in April 2024. All participants must compete in the division corresponding to their age as of April 1, 2024.
