DIVISION III RANDALL HODGKINSON “The finest performance I have ever heard of this very difficult piece. It was as if he was reading my mind…” Aaron Copland on hearing pianist Randall Hodgkinson performing his Piano Fantasy in Jordan Hall, Boston. While a student at the New England Conservatory Hodgkinson became grand prizewinner of the International American Music Competition sponsored by Carnegie Hall and the Rockefeller Foundation. The 2024 competition will happen during three in-person rounds on three weekends in April. We are also introducing a new competition alternative called the Artist Evaluation Tier.  Both tiers will have an enrollment cap so that we can ensure a quality experience for all.   This year’s competition will again consist of Three Divisions. Participants in each Division will perform LIVE at M. Steinert and Sons Newton Location in April 2024. All participants must compete in the division corresponding to their age as of April 1, 2024.
